    Oakeshott XIII One-Handed Sword
    Functional
    The quality in this sword is not found in pointless bells and whistles but in it's functionality. This is a work-horse of a sword.
    The blade is based on the Oakeshott typology of swords and could be classified as an Oakeshott XIII.
    The blade is made of 1065 High Carbon Steel and has one singular beveled edge. What that means is that the sword is quite sharp and easily sharpened. Many swords and knives come with a secondary sharpened edge which makes the angle of the edge wider; making those blades less effective.
    This beautiful sword is fully functional and able to take quite the beating. The 29.25"  Carbon Steel Blade has a comfortable point of percussion; which makes the blade very responsive in the hand. The point of balance is about 4" from the guard.
